Currently, Feishang Group is at a critical juncture in deepening its strategic transformation. This transformation, which officially began with the group’s entry into emerging industries in 2012, has now spanned nearly seven years. During this period, we have achieved abundant results: in traditional industries, the energy sector has attained its best-ever performance; in emerging industries, the health-care sector has flourished, providing strong momentum for our next stage of development. At the same time, a series of new challenges arising from the transformation process have presented us with fresh hurdles. At the Group’s 2017 Awards Ceremony, Chairman Li Feilie conducted a thorough summary and profound reflection on these issues. He not only reaffirmed Feishang’s core values—“Integrity, Responsibility, Excellence, Value Creation, and Win-Win Cooperation”—with great clarity but also further articulated the direction for future development through what he termed “Feishang’s distinctive new way of thinking.”
Having problems isn't something to be afraid of—problems have always gone hand in hand with development. Every instance of success is, in fact, a continuous process of solving problems. What’s truly frightening is lacking the courage to face problems head-on and the wisdom to find solutions. The success of Feishang Group’s first two strategic transformations stemmed precisely from the entrepreneurial team’s intense desire for success and their unyielding perseverance through countless challenges. Every Feishang employee must carefully explore and deeply understand their invaluable experiences; and every Feishang employee must carry forward and promote their pioneering spirit through concrete actions.
Social development is advancing at an unprecedented pace, and only innovation can ensure that enterprises remain vibrant and full of vitality. Yet innovation is a double-edged sword—a painful journey of breaking free from one’s cocoon to emerge as a butterfly, testing the resilience of those who strive and their extraordinary wisdom. Innovation can enable enterprises to regain their former glory, or it can plunge them into crisis. However, difficulties should never serve as an excuse for inaction; failing to innovate means settling for mediocrity, signifying regression and ultimately leading to exclusion. Moreover, Feishang’s development history is itself a tale of tenacious and persistent struggle. Innovation has long been deeply ingrained in Feishang’s very essence. Every member of the Feishang family must rely neither on others nor on external support—instead, we must dare to innovate and strive to become the new-generation fighters of Feishang.
To achieve success, we must roll up our sleeves and take concrete actions. "Empty talk harms the country; practical action strengthens it." Without action, even the most brilliant ideas are worth nothing, and even the grandest dreams remain mere fantasies. A happy life is earned through hard work, and every accomplishment is realized only through diligent effort and practical action. We must be industrious doers, not idle dreamers who merely engage in lofty rhetoric. We should dare to act, dare to take responsibility, and under the guidance of Feishang’s distinctive new way of thinking, seize opportunities, harness available resources, test truth through practice, and let our outstanding achievements speak for themselves.
To strive for success, we must devote ourselves to our jobs with almost obsessive dedication. A towering building rises from the ground—performing our duties well is not only a fundamental requirement that companies place on their employees, but also the benchmark by which we’re judged as capable of standing on our own. In Feishang Group’s core values and behavioral guidelines, we’re not only expected to act responsibly and achieve the company’s goals, but also to take every task to the absolute limit and pursue excellence with an almost obsessive commitment. Only in this way can we truly demonstrate our self-worth within the team, gain confidence and composure in creating shared value and mutual success, and truly experience the joy and happiness of a life lived with purpose and effort.
To strive forward, we must keep surpassing ourselves through relentless innovation. “Only by striving forward can we achieve constant renewal.” Corporate development calls for innovation, and personal growth likewise requires us to continually push beyond our own limits. At present, as we enter the deep waters of transformation, all employees must not only stay committed to their respective roles and willingly serve as a tiny cog in Feishang’s machinery, but also keep the bigger picture in mind, set ambitious goals, dare to break with convention, and contribute their wisdom—sharing in the fruits of corporate development through innovation. Meanwhile, managers at all levels should extend ample tolerance and encouragement to employees, ensuring that those who are eager to act, capable of acting, bold enough to take action, and determined to get things done stand out. In this way, Feishang can foster an atmosphere of vigorous entrepreneurship and collective endeavor, where thousands of sails compete vigorously.
Chairman Li Feilie stated that coming together at Feishang is a special kind of fate. He hopes that all Feishang employees can unite, support each other’s success, provide mutual platforms for one another, and cheer enthusiastically for each other.
