New Year’s Message 2020 | Nourishing Dreams with a Soaring Spirit

Today is the first day of 2020.
Standing at a new starting point, we are filled with profound emotions and brimming with high spirits. We have countless stories—sweet, sour, bitter, and spicy—and together we’ve witnessed that no matter how complex or severe the external environment may be, it can never shake Feishang Group’s firm confidence, steady composure, or unwavering determination to seize every moment and persist relentlessly.
As the year draws to a close and a new one begins, we reflect on the past while looking forward to the future. 2019 was yet another extraordinary year—through confronting and overcoming various risks and challenges, we’ve grown stronger; by braving countless storms and turbulent waves, we’ve become even more resilient. Striving has been the defining thread running through Feishang’s past, present, and future, and the spirit of struggle permeates our will, capabilities, and character.
In 2019, people couldn't help but sigh, “It’s just so tough for me.” Indeed, over the past year, the international community has been fraught with turmoil, the global economy has slumped, and real-world businesses have suffered severe blows—all of which directly affect our wallets. We’ve come to realize that survival is no easy feat and making money has become increasingly difficult. Yet, we always remain modest, down-to-earth, and diligent in doing our own jobs well, cherishing the warmth of time and living up to the trust placed in us by our companies.
This year, Feishang Group also faced numerous challenges. Yet, driven by an unwavering belief in its dreams and maintaining an indomitable spirit of relentless struggle despite all odds, Feishang Group has consistently sung the triumphant battle hymn, carving a brilliant note across the vast night sky. Once again, it has fulfilled the oath of a true strongman and written a new chapter in Feishang’s storied history.
Because we know that, on the path forward, the risks and challenges we face will only become increasingly complex. We also know that all great achievements are the result of sustained effort and that all great undertakings require continuous advancement by building on the past while forging ahead into the future.
There are no useless experiences in life. It’s only through collisions and efforts that we come to appreciate the preciousness of our dreams; it’s only by putting them into practice and truly experiencing them that we understand the significance of staying true to our convictions. As long as our dreams continue to stir our hearts, any hardship or obstacle will merely serve as a whetstone on our journey forward.
Who am I? We often ask ourselves this question, deeply reflecting on our inner selves. Whether it’s coal, steel, forestry products, or healthcare, greater health, telecommunications, or satellite navigation—no matter what we pursue, we remain deeply connected to nature and the beauty of mountains and rivers. Our journey stretches toward the stars and the vast ocean.
Currently, affected by the slowdown in global economic growth and the ongoing yet incomplete transition of domestic growth drivers, China’s economic development in 2020 continues to face a severe and complex situation. However, viewed from a holistic perspective, although our economy is facing increasing downward pressure, it also exhibits overall stability, structural optimization, and improved efficiency. Overall, the economy remains stable while making progress, and significant new strides have been made toward high-quality development.
By clearly recognizing the “moment” and the “trend,” we will never lose our way. Once we’ve gained a clear understanding of the world and of ourselves, and as we adjust our breathing while running and refine our posture during competition, nothing can ever stop us from moving forward.
Every seed that has weathered the winter carries a dream of spring. Throughout 20 years of arduous striving, our hearts have always been brimming with the power of our dreams, and on our journey of forging ahead through turbulent waters, we have never lost our way.
Rooted in this great nation, we fear no trials or challenges. Whether it’s raging storms or thorny thickets, we remain steadfast in our dream of “revitalizing the country through industry and serving the nation with our industries.” We embody the spirit of Feishang—growing stronger with every setback—and pass the torch forward as we bravely ride the waves. By staying grounded and doing our part diligently, the light of our dreams will ultimately illuminate the path ahead.
